George Mason University (Mason) has several sustainability focused and related certificate programs including the Sustainability for Existing Buildings Certificate Program which started in 2010, the Sustainability Facility Professional Certificate Program that started in 2011, the Geographic Information Systems Certificate Program started in 1999, the Applied Conservation Science Certificate Program that started in 2008, and the Permaculture Design Certification Course which started in 2012.
