The GBC Sustainability Squad is a student-run organization aimed at fostering sustainability work on campus, and beyond. Throughout the year the club’s members meet to build friendships and community, and to partake in sustainability projects and initiatives. A few of these initiatives include: campus and neighbourhood clean ups, a world water day event, "Squad Docs" environmental film event event, and a partnership with the World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF) through their Living Planet @ Campus program, special tours such as to Evergreen's Brickworks and Green Energy Innovation start-up at the MaRS Discovery District,. The club is open to any and all students who have any interest in environmentalism. Please join if you are looking to make friends, and/or learn about and volunteer toward a more sustainability campus. The club is supported and advised by Sustainability Coordinator, Stephanie Foster (stephanie.foster@georgebrown.ca), and Professor, Michael Long (michael.long2@georgebrown.ca).
