A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
Students are hired as student researchers and are paid to participate in research projects. Faculty and staff act as Principal Investigators, providing guidance and direction to students engaging in research activities and supervising Student Researchers to ensure high-quality outcomes. Sustainability curriculum is integrated with GBC’s research activities.

A brief description of the faculty sustainability research program:
o Yes. The Ignite Fund supports GBC employees engaged in original research and innovation activities, including those related to sustainability. Through this program, faculty can request funding to cover costs associated with release time to engage in research activities (full-time faculty), remuneration on an hourly basis to engage in research activities (part-time faculty), and Student Researcher salaries, workshops, training, equipment, supplies and knowledge dissemination activities.
