Sustainability Poster Contest:
This event invites students to submit posters (with a sustainability theme) to an online forum (Face book) where anyone may like a given poster. The poster with the greatest number of likes wins the poster contest. This is also how the success of the campaign is judged. We receive additional interest in sustainability and contact information in this way.

Sustainability Fee grants program. In 2016 we sent out a call for proposals for funding for sustainability projects on campus. These funds were available to faculty, staff and students. In addition to the many faculty and staff who applied for funding and completed projects, several employees and staff also participated. The director of the Lane University Center received funding for water bottle filling stations and these were purchased and installed, thus preventing use of many plastic one-time-use bottles.
