Eco-Reps
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Eco-Rep Team Mission:
The team’s mission contains four parts:
• Support projects put forth by the Sustainability Steering Committee (SSC) (Eco-Reps can and will help shape the vision by being a part of the SSC)
• Take ownership of the projects and see them through to completion
• Communicate with the community about sustainability events / projects happening on campus, as well as how the campus is progressing against our benchmark report
• Educate the community on sustainability-related topics through workshops and communication materials

A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The student educator's program target audience is faculty, staff and students. The students are trained in the beginning of the semester by reviewing the history of the program and the program's relationship to other Sustainability entities on campus. The training also includes teaming exercises on how to effectively work together and the development of team goals for the upcoming semester. Peer to peer outreach occurs through the Sustainability newsletters that the Eco-Reps send out and through projects they work on.
