E:Sust is an interdisciplinary concentration that embraces a broad definition of sustainability to prepare students for a wide range of personal and professional pathways. Sustainability is an inherently transdisciplinary field, drawing on engineering and science as well as social sciences, humanities, business, and the arts for various aspects of sustainability practice.

Self-Designed Engineering Concentrations

A brief description of the undergraduate minor or concentration (2nd program):
At Olin, every major is an engineering major. The two designated engineering programs are mechanical and electrical and computer engineering. However, students also have the option of majoring in engineering and concentrating in a specific focus. Engineering with sustainable design, engineering with design for sustainable development, environmental engineering, engineering with sustainability, and green engineering are all majors that have been completed in the past.
