Grad Bag Campaign
A brief description of the campaign, including how students and/or employees were engaged:
Over the course of the campaign, signs were hung up indicating what could be donated to the organization and what could not be. This engaged the entire student body by asking for donations. Some students also helped sort these items. This captured items from student move-out that would've been thrown out and were instead given to first-generation college students
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:
There were a substantial amount of donations made, which meant that waste was diverted from landfills and also given to those who are in need of items that would otherwise get thrown away during move-out. The donations were packaged into dorm-room kits and given to students that couldn't afford it.
A spreadsheet was kept of how many items were donated and of each type.
