McNeely Center of Ideas and Imagination Construction: 6.200 sqm space with 29 dorm units, a gym, a small auditorium, offices, and a multipurpose common space for students and staff.
It is designed with a system of mobile photovoltaic cells, which follow the sun's orientation, generating solar energy. Franklin University Switzerland's "Phase 3" photovoltaic system is the first to be constructed in Europe.

Franklin's new dormitory cluster is not certified by LEED or Minergie standards, it was built to be very environmentally conscious. Each room has dual flush toilets, all heating is supplied through geothermal energy, all walls and windows have extra insulation is included in order to minimize heating needs. Furthermore, the lighting around the building is on a timer to reduce energy needs, and the general area is mostly unpaved and terraced so that water is able to drain properly.
