A brief description of the program, including an indication of its scope (e.g., the number of bicycles the program makes available, participation levels, etc.):
There is a local bike sharing program called velopass that is available to all campus members. There is an annual fee of 25 CHF for the velopass which allows participants a 30 minute free rental per day. For every additional hour, a 1 CHF charge is implemented. The card acts as a credit system that members can add to as they wish. The initial fee includes 2 free hours. There are 6 rental stations located in the Lugano area.
Franklin recently began a pilot bike share program. We have several bikes that are available for student use.
