Franklin University Switzerland
ER-T2-7: Outdoors Program
Center for Sustainability Initiatives
Does the institution have a wilderness or outdoors program that organizes hiking, backpacking, kayaking, or other outings for students and follows Leave No Trace principles?:
A brief description of the program:
The Alpine Adventure Club and the Franklin Ski Club are very prominent on campus. Both clubs take advantage of the outdoor surroundings that Switzerland has to offer, introduce students to outdoor activities such as: rock climbing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, etc. The groups also pursue these activities in responsible and sustainable ways, such as using public transport to reach their destinations.
