My Promise to the Environment Pledge
In 2014, FIE partnered with the National Union of Students (NUS) to participate in the Student Switch Off Scheme (SSO), an environmental conscious-raising initiative implemented across all FIE's London student accommodation for spring and fall semesters. FIE was, and remains, the only non UK university Higher Education study abroad organization partaking in the scheme. The SSO continues and, due in part to FIE's instituting this program, the 2014 GoAbroad Award for Innovation in Sustainability was awarded to FIE and presented during the 2014 NAFSA: Association of International Educators Annual Conference.

There are general thermostats for common areas in dorm style buildings with thermostats in all flats and rooms.

FIE uses LED lights in all buildings, corridors, general areas, corridors and rooms. (Desk lamps and lightbulbs)

I was not able to find any information about source-site ratio for grid-purchased electricity for the UK. I contacted the energy supplier an was given a webpage https://www.edfenergy.com/fuel-mix.
I found it difficult to answer the ratio question, based on the information that was available. I opted to select the Europe ratio as it was the closest to the UK. Please do let me know how can better answer this question.
