Documentation
Do the figures reported above cover one, two, or three academic years?:
Three
A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We sent a survey to all faculty asking them to indicate courses taught in the past three years with sustainability themes. We also searched the course catalog for key terms: sustainability, environment, and/or social change. We then reviewed course descriptions for suitability, removing, for example, courses that used the term “environment” in a non-sustainability way (e.g., the business “environment”). Finally, we sent the inventory to chairs for editing. The date range addressed with this inventory was from spring semester 2015 through fall semester 2017.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
