List and description of the institution’s sustainability research units:
The Office of Sustainability focuses on researching sustainable technologies and policies that can be implemented at the univeristy to satisfy AASHE STAR requirements and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Responsible Business Center at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business is a platform for interdisciplinary engagement in the area of sustainability and business responsibility. The Center advances, convenes, and informs cross-industry collaborations; generates and supports academic research; and enriches business school learnings to inspire student development and responsible leadership.
The Social Innovation Collaboratory a network of Fordham University students, faculty, administrators, alumni and community members working together to promote social innovation for the achievement of social justice, social entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability.
The Fordham Institute for Women and Girls, established in 2001, works to promote gender equality by addressing all forms of discrimination against women and girls locally and globally.

The Urban Consortium at Fordham University organizes and sponsors programs and events that highlight contemporary urban issues. It focuses on engaged, interdisciplinary urban research by graduate students and faculty. Faculty and students from all disciplines across Fordham engage in research on historical and contemporary urbanization, its challenges and opportunities for the 21st century.
Center on Race, Law and Justice works to generate innovative responses to racial inequality and discrimination. It prioritizes law, data, and social science-informed interventions capable of creating concrete change in communities, institutions, and public policy in a number of areas in the domestic and global contexts. The Center maximizes real-world impact through cross-disciplinary collaborations, comparative analyses, and systemic interventions that push the boundaries of traditional approaches to race and inequality. Founded in early 2016, the Center marks an effort to marshal the tremendous research capacity and expertise at Fordham University on race and urban issues directly relevant to the University’s social justice mission, location in New York City, and status as one of the premiere research institutions in the country.
The Center for Humanistic Management at the Gabelli School of Business is a research center with active outreach to practice and policy, and a commitment to developing novel pedagogical approaches with a focus on social innovation. The center is part of the Humanistic Management Network, an international, interdisciplinary, independent collective that promotes the development of an economic system with respect for human dignity and well-being.
