Certified Floor Area
LEED O+M Platinum or the highest achievable level under another GBC rating system 0 Square feet
LEED O+M Gold or the 2nd highest level under another 4- or 5-tier GBC rating system 0 Square feet
Certified at mid-level under a 3- or 5-tier GBC rating system (e.g. BREEAM-In Use, CASBEE for Existing Buildings, DGNB, Green Star Performance) 0 Square feet
LEED O+M Silver or at a step above minimum level under another 4 -or 5–tier GBC rating system 0 Square feet
LEED O+M Certified or certified at minimum level under another GBC rating system 0 Square feet

Floor area of building space that is certified under a non-GBC rating system for the operations and maintenance of existing buildings, e.g. BOMA BESt, Green Globes CIEB:
0 Square feet

Percentage of building space certified under a green building rating system for the operations and maintenance of existing buildings:
0

A brief description of the green building rating system(s) used and/or a list or sample of certified buildings and ratings:

Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with a published indoor air quality (IAQ) management policy or protocol? (0-100):
100

A copy of the IAQ management policy or protocol:
---

The website URL where the IAQ policy/protocol may be found:
Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with a published green cleaning policy, program or contract ? (0-100):
36

A copy or the green cleaning policy:
---

A brief description of how green cleaning is incorporated into cleaning contracts:

The maintenance department is responsible for the care, safety, and security of Education & General buildings at Florida State University. The practices are to purchase environmentally friendly cleaning supplies from the FSU supplier, Grainger, whenever possible.

Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with an energy management or benchmarking program? (0-100):
100

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:

In partnership with Florida State University, Cenergistic has implemented a comprehensive Energy Conservation Program consisting of six full-time employees dedicated to reducing raw utility usage across campus. The Energy Specialists educate and train building occupants and identify techniques to change behaviors. Cenergistic works with the Building Automation System (BAS), scheduling and handles many hot/cold complaints as well as conducting engineering work on problem areas. In addition, audits of the buildings are conducted at all hours of day to verify energy savings initiatives.
Cenergistic measures the success of the program by a percentage reduction of raw utility costs from an established baseline data.
Florida State University along with Cenergistic has adopted an energy management software called EnergyCap that greatly enhances the ability of the University to track, benchmark, and trend utility usage down to the individual meter in each building.

Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with a water management or benchmarking program? (0-100):
100

A brief description of the water management or benchmarking program:

Water management is key to the FSU/Cenergistic energy program. Areas of improvement include finding and reporting water wastage in a shorter time frame. With building audits, Cenergistic aims to find and report water leaks, running faucets, running toilets as well as recommending the upgrade of equipment and engineering solutions to water related issues.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

Along with improved building performance, Cenergistic aims to improve indoor air quality of the occupants through inspection and optimization of outside air dampers and exhaust fans as well as improved response time for humidity complaints in buildings with data logging devices.

FSU IAQ policy has a mechanism for occupants to register complaints, which are then monitored for safety. If needed, action plans are implemented.
