A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:

FSU received Silver Certification as a Bicycle Friendly University in 2016. The University supports sustainable commuting through an increase of bike lanes on campus and in the nearby community. FSU has several bicycle advocacy groups on campus including: Transportation Advisory Group, Bike-Ped Commitee (staff) and a student bike club. Transportation and Parking Services offers a plethora of bike information including: registering your bike with FSUPD, how to take your bike on the bus, and maintains University Regulations for bike parking and traffic code. Commuter Services of North Florida within the College of Business offers safe cycling classes and a Free Ride Home Program offering a free ride home to cyclists in an emergency. There are several bike repair stations across campus and racks are located at almost every building. FSU also has a reCycle Bike program where students can rent bikes at low costs, take part in education classes, group rides, or utilize the free repair servicing at mobile fix it events.
