A brief description of the institution’s WRC or FLA membership, including the year membership was last established or renewed:
Florida State University is a current member of the Fair Labor Association, and the university renews membership annually with the last membership renewal in 2018. Florida State University has a Code of Conduct that ensures products bearing the marks of the University are produced under healthy, safe, and fair working conditions. All Florida State University licensees must sign the Code of Conduct as a part of their license agreement with IMG College Licensing. In addition, companies must disclosure factory locations where goods are produced as well as affiliate with the Fair Labor Association (and commit to the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct). Under the Fair Labor Association, “licensees are required to meet strict standards, and to develop social compliance systems that identify risks to workers and fix problems quickly when they are identified. FLA provides tools for college and university officials to monitor the performance of their licensees.”
