Florida State University vigorously works to promote the mutuality and reciprocity of our community engagement partnerships. A brief description of successful community stakeholder engagement outcomes from the previous three years:
Sample outcomes include:
- Strengthen the relationships that the University has with agencies in and around Tallahassee to effectively and efficiently match students with meaningful volunteer opportunities that ultimately contribute to the solution of community needs.
- Expand the learning environment beyond the campus and out into the community, giving the community agency staff the opportunity to serve as co-educators, thereby contributing to the education of our students and strengthening the relationship between community and University.
- Open opportunities for students to grow in their respective fields and to have a better vision of the impact that they can have in our society.
- Encourage college students to serve as mentors to at-risk youth and ensure those youth can be successful in life; to empower college students to realize the tangible impacts they can have on someone else's life.
