FIU participates in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For program. In 2021, FIU earned Honor Roll status, with recognition in several categories including: Compensation & Benefits, Job Satisfaction & Support, Faculty & Staff Well-being, Professional Development, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging. The Great Colleges to Work For program is a two-part assessment process: 1) an anonymous faculty/employee survey administered through ModenThink, LLC to 600 randomly selected faculty and staff across the university, and 2) an institutional audit capturing information detailing various institution demographics, polices, practices and infrastructure.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
An analysis is done of the survey data and presented to the executive leadership. Survey result presentations are made for faculty and staff during which feedback is welcomed. FIU is committed to addressing the concerns of faculty and staff that may arise from the survey data.
