A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:
The cultural assessment was developed through a brain-storming session with the Office of University Sustainability team. The team selected questions that would give insights into what campus projects and programs the population is familiar with and in what areas they would like to see more initiatives. The questions went through this cycle a few times until finalizing the current version that was sent out as a pilot with the sustainability literacy assessment questions.

The assessment was sent via an online survey tool to students, faculty, and staff in the FIU School of Environment, Arts, and Society. It was open for completion for a brief period of time to get feedback so that it could be amended and then sent out to a larger campus population.
