Data was gathered from the Department of Analysis and Information Management, Housing and Residential Life, and the Office of Academic Space Management from the Academic Year 2015-2017. Data for the institutions specific energy usage is unknown so data was collected from the U.S. Energy Information Administration's most recent 2014 report "Net Generation by State by Type of Producer by Energy Source" Total Electricity Consumption data set for the state of Florida. Total Campus Area includes Modesto Maidique Campus (342 acres), Biscayne Bay Campus (195 acres), and Engineering Center (36 acres). Gross floor area of building space includes Modesto Maidique Campus (7,870,365 square feet), Biscayne Bay Campus (935,281 square feet), and Engineering Center (528,108).
