Narrative:
Florida International University is an urban, multi-campus, public research university serving its students and the diverse population of South Florida. We are committed to high-quality teaching, state-of-the-art research and creative activity, and collaborative engagement with our local and global communities. FIU has two major campuses: Modesto A. Maidique Campus in West Miami-Dade County, and Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami Beach. FIU also has various other locations which include the Engineering Center, near MMC, the Broward Pines Center in Pembroke Pines, the FIU at I-75 Center in Miramar, the business center in Downtown Brickell, and the Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS) on South Beach. In addition to our campuses, FIU operates vital research and cultural centers in South Florida such as the Aquarius underseas research program, The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU and the Wolfsonian FIU art and history museum in Miami Beach. For the purpose of the FIU STARS Report data collected and included is from the following campuses: Modesto Maidique Campus, Biscayne Bay Campus, and Engineering Center.
