A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
Sustainability 101 is training offered by the Office of University Sustainability once a month alternating at the BBC and MMC campuses. The training teaches the basics of what sustainability is, sustainability initiatives that FIU has, how to get involved, and how to sign up for the Green Office Certification program. Any staff or faculty member is welcome to sign up for this to recieve professional development credit. The Office of University Sustainability hopes to offer more professional development classes like this on a wide variety of sustainability topics.
