A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:
FIU on campus dining operations and catering services are operated by primary contractor Aramark. Through the primary contractor, FIU spent $1,247,097.00 on total food and beverage expenditures from 12/11 - 11/12. Of those purchases 17% came from 250 miles or less at the amount of $212,686.98.
