If a baseline has already been established in a previous version of STARS and the institution wishes to continue using it, the electricity data must be re-entered in kWh. There were significant reductions in energy usage from 2007 to 2019 with the execution of a Siemens ESCO that staged a large number of improvements and upgrades to HVAC plant operations that allowed the university to cut the electrical usage and rely less on back-up generated power in certain instances.
