A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
HR employee orientation consists of a one-on-one meeting with an HR associate and the newly hired individual. Throughout the on-boarding process, a packet of materials are distributing consisting of policies, benefits, and the University Sustainability Guide. HR associates have been educated on key aspects of this guide and how to showcase current campus sustainability initiatives, and are dedicated and enthusiastic about including campus sustainability information in orientations. The guide is less available in recycled paper now, and new employees are made aware of the SUS website where the Guide is available digitally. The aim of this orientation process is to foster the employee culture toward sustainability on day one.
