A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
Currently, each first year student or transfer with less than 30 credits must attend a orientation class schedule, part of Freshman Experience. One of the classes focuses on showing the students about Sustainability at the university. It provides some general insights into the major and minor programs and provides some useful links and resources to the students about current campus efforts. Each incoming student (whether undergraduate or graduate) also gets a copy of the University Sustainability Guide, that provides background information on campus sustainability and tips for becoming involved with campus efforts. The guide is also available online at http://www.fit.edu/sustainability/.
