A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :

The university utilized the streamline method of counting courses as explained in the technical manual. Each course offered in the Florida Institute of Technology course catalog was counted only once per academic year regardless of the number sections offered each semester. The number of times that sustainability focused and sustainability related courses were offered from Fall 2014 through Spring 2017 were then generated from FIT's course offerings from fit.edu's schedule of classes. Courses derived from the course catalog for Three academic years. Academic year 2014-2015 Academic year 2015-2016 Academic year 2016-2017 Each indicated course may not have been available during each of the three years.
