A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
FGCU's main campus sits on 813 acres of land in Lee County, Florida. In addition to the main campus, this report includes programs and operations at the Emergent Technologies Institute (ETI), Office of Continuing Education (various off-site locations), Vester Marine Field Station, Harvey Kapnick Education & Research Center, and Gulf Coast Center at Buckingham for academic and engagement credits. Leased and Foundation owned spaces are not included in our operation credits for this report.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? Included?
Agricultural school No No
Medical school No No
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) No No
Museum No No
Satellite campus No No
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No
Hospital No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
None of the above features are present in FGCU's operations.

Greenhouse gas data and square footage is based on Fiscal Year 2022, as it is our most current data available. Since this GHG report is prior to the opening of Academic Building 9, the building square footages of AB9 is not included in the totals for this report. This academic building is not included in this report unless otherwise noted.

The Kapnick Education & Research Center was built as a joint effort between the Naples Botanical Gardens and FGCU. The Botanical Gardens uses the majority of the facility; FGCU uses minimal lab space for Faculty Research and the Multipurpose Room for occasional presentations. This building is not included in our institutional boundary since its primary usage does not reflect activities material to the university. Additionally, the impact of FGCU used space at Kapnick relative to the overall operational performance of the university is minimal.

The Vester Marine Lab is owned by the FGCU Foundation and the scale of the property's impact relative to the overall operational performance of the university is minimal. Therefore, it is not included in our operational data sets.

FGCU's Office of Continuing Education leases various spaces (Please see https://www.fgcu.edu/academy/). These are not included in our operation credits because FGCU does not have control or significant influence over the physical structures. Programs offered at these sites are included in other areas of the report such as EN: 12-Continuing Education.
