A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:

FGCU uses the ACUHO-I Quality of Residence Life Survey as a cultural assessment for campus residents. Students living on campus are sent an email to complete the survey. Incentives like gift cards, tablets, and other prizes encourage participation. Questions in the survey seek to better understand students’ satisfaction and learning outcomes associated with dining, room quality, and study habits as well as sustainability. Responses are on a 1-7 Likert scale with one being less satisfied and seven being more satisfied.

This assessment only targets campus residents. The survey is administered through an online tool that is sent out through an email link to all on campus residents. This survey is from the 2018-19 academic year, as the Covid-19 pandemic requirements for early move out did not allow for an end of year survey assessment for 2019-2020 academic year.
