A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
FGCU's Sustainability Manager worked with the Office of the Registrar to establish a Sustainability Component (SUSC) course attribute. They used the inventory of courses compiled for FGCU's STARS 2014 submission as a starting point. Deans, department chairs, program leaders, and faculty members across the institution added or omitted courses from the 2014 inventory as needed using the guidance attached as a supporting document to this credit.
Schedule searches may be completed by term on this website: https://gulfline.fgcu.edu/pls/fgpo/szkschd.p_showform. Selecting the SUSC-Sustainability Component attribute will show all courses that include sustainability in some capacity.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
