These presentations, forms and videos prepare employees to protect themselves and others, prevent accidents, and appropriately respond in the event of an incident or near miss. We established 2012-13 as our baseline year and 2013-14 as our performance year so we could begin to evaluate the effectiveness of these safety training materials.

A brief description of the institution’s workplace health and safety initiatives:
In addition to providing all new employees with safety training, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) leads fire drill training, laboratory safety inspections, and works to ensure hurricane and disaster preparedness.
