A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

Fleming College consists of one main campus and three satellite campuses, all situated across central Ontario, Canada.

This submission includes the College's main campus and two satellite campuses as follows:
1) The Haliburton Campus - home to the School of the Arts + Design and located in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
2) The Frost Campus - home to the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences and located in Lindsay (City of Kawartha Lakes), Ontario, Canada.
3) The Sutherland Campus, which is home to the majority of Fleming's remaining programs, and is the College's main campus. The Sutherland Campus is located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Together these campuses occupy more than 462 acres of land, including over 891,154 square feet of building space, and play host to over one hundred post-secondary educational programs.

One of Fleming's satellite campuses has not been included in our STARS submission. Our Cobourg campus, located in Cobourg, Ontario resides in a leased facility, which provides little opportunity to influence sustainable operations.

Acknowledging the Territory

Fleming College respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on Mississauga lands and the traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work and teach here and we thank all the generations of people who have taken care of this land - for thousands of years. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples, both in shaping and strengthening this community and country as a whole. This recognition is connected to our collective commitment to make the promise and the challenge of Truth and Reconciliation real in our Fleming community.

One step was the signing of the Colleges and Institutes Canada's (CICan) Indigenous Education Protocol (IEP) which symbolizes our commitment to fortifying relationships with Indigenous communities while embedding intellectual and cultural traditions, as understood by Indigenous peoples, into our curriculum, and activities.
