The Office of Sustainability staff provides faculty workshops and special guest speakers, during spring development periods, and professional development presentations to all faculty and staff within the academic schools, as well as online professional development (online sustainability step-by-step guide and online Sustainability Resource) guide on the Office of Sustainability website available to all staff.
A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution(e.g. through payment, reimbursement, or subsidy):
The organization pays for PD opportunities to attend provincial (Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals) Conference, national (SHECA) and international (e.g. AASHE) conferences. Fleming has participated in delivering workshops and poster presentations at AASHE conferences in past years.
