A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

The development and implementation of the Frost Campus Sustainability Initiative (FCSI) utilized the CSAF program. The effort involved sharing of FCSI information during regional meetings and national conferences as part of a collaboration with other colleges/universities across the province.

Fleming has also delivered presentations regarding their sustainability initiatives at national conferences such as the CCEN (Canadian College Environmental Network) and the EECOM (Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication) conference. These presentations were followed by further opportunities to present and share key results with other Ontario community colleges (e.g. Durham College).

Fleming College participates or is a member in several applicable organizations including:

-a member of The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

- a signatory to the Pan-Canadian Protocol For Sustainability, an initiative by the Association of Canadian Community Colleges.

- a member of the Ontario Sustainability Coordinators Association

- a partner and Steering Committee member of Sustainable Peterborough - the region's integrated community sustainability plan - Trent University also participates.


A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :

Fleming College and Trent University have recently developed a joint degree program in Ecological Restoration. Upon completion of the 4 year program, the successful student receives both a college diploma and a university degree.

In addition, Fleming's Centre for Alernative Wastewater Treatment (CAWT) exists to promote innovative forms of water and wastewater treatment technology through applied research, education, and demonstration projects. The initiative involves partnership with 14 other post-secondary institution located domestically and internationally. Partners include Carlton University, Trent University, University of Waterloo, University of Copenhagen, and China Agricultural University.
