A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Fleming provides cultural competence training for students in two ways as follows:
1) Through the curriculum of various programs such as Business or Police Foundations.
2) Various training available to students on a number of issues related to human rights.
Additionally, some of Fleming's post-secondary programs offer an Aboriginal Emphasis stream, for example, the Ecosystem Management and Social Service Worker programs. This initiative is in addition to a number of aboriginal education and awareness activities offered to the general student body.
