Fleming buildings are built and maintained to American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards and to Ontario Building Code standards for indoor air quality parameters.
Fleming's Energy Management System controls temperature and carbon dioxide/fresh air levels. Operable window are provided in all Sutherland campus classrooms and most offices, and some rooms in Frost campus.
Complaints are registered at facilities office via email, voicemail, or telephone, and responded to accordingly using a computerized maintenance management system (Pervidi) which automates work orders to ensure timely response.
