Does the institution hold major events related to sustainability, such as conferences, speaker series, or symposia, that have students as the intended audience?:
Yes

A brief description of the event(s):

Our Frost Campus hosts an EcoHealth Conference each year with both daytime and evening sessions. The conference is developed and executed by 3rd year students from Fleming's Ecosystem Management Technology program. Now in it's sixth year, the conference theme changes annually with past themes being 'Big Community, Little Planet', 'Healthy Food, Healthy People, Healthy Planet', and 'Growing Green Communities'. The conference is open to students, faculty, and the community, and serves as a medium to showcase student passion towards the environment by highlighting the work of prominent figures in the field.

Each year our Sutherland campus holds a major World Water Day event featuring speakers and activities designed to foster more sustainable behaviour related to water. The event is held in the main foyer of the Sutherland campus building and targets students, faculty and staff. Recently a similar World Water Day event was also held at Frost Campus where an MOU was signed with a local water awareness NGO (Ecologos), an annual event on World Water Day will follow each year.
