A brief description of the program or practice:
FSU uses drought tolerant plants and plant material whenever possible. Instead of sod in some areas we have created more mulched areas. We have also reduced fertilizer usage in some areas also, thereby reducing the need for frequent watering. This has enabled us to virtually eliminate irrigation systems from these areas, reducing water usage. We hand water as necessary.
