A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB) In support of and in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 77, it is the policy of the university that, to the extent permissible, purchases will be placed with Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). HUB-eligible purchases will provide the access and opportunity to participate competitively in the university’s purchasing program without barrier. HUB vendors are currently defined to include those businesses that are owned by minorities, women, and persons with disabilities as well as business enterprises and non-profit workshops for the blind and severely disabled. Through the use of HUB vendors, the competitive base of the university’s purchasing will be broadened. Benefits will result for both the university and the vendor. The Purchasing Department will serve as the administrator and coordinator of the HUB Program for Fayetteville State University.
