A brief description of the garden:
Limited space is available for students to use in the University's greenhouse for organic gardening and we have a small outdoor garden (approximately 0.25 acres) next to the Lyons Science Building for use by students for organic gardening. Compost and black cow (manure/fertilizer) are used in these. Weeds are pulled by hand versus using any herbicides. The Green Team (environmental awareness student club) promotes these available learning lab spaces.
