Fanshawe Sustainability
Fanshawe Sustainability is committed to improving the impact on the environment by creating a more sustainable footprint at the college. The college is committed to advancing practices and policies that address the three pillars of sustainability – environmental, social and economic – to help the College become both an agent of change for the community and a better place, now and in the future.

Local Farmers' Market
Fanshawe Sustainability hosts a local farmers' market every Thursday for the whole year. This is for students, staff, and faculty. Local, greenhouse grown, produce is provided by a farmer out of Leamington Ontario that has very low pesticide and herbicide loads; Kettle corn is provided by a local supplier out of Arva, Ontario

Sustainability Trivia Night- SDGs Edition - 28th March 2023
It was a quiz event that aimed to promote knowledge about Sustainable Development Goals and rewarded participants who excelled at it. It was a two-hour event.

SDGs Lab (2022-2023)
Fanshawe College hosted SDGs Lab on the campus in October 2022 and January 2023 which were participated by both staff and students. It's a project of the Foundation for Environmental Stewardship (FES) which aims to raise awareness about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, to ensure that students from a wide diversity of
academic purviews have a foundational understanding of what the goals are, how they came to be, and how youth can become better advocates and champions sustainable development in their own communities. SDGs LaB empowers students with education and funding opportunities to become sustainability changemakers.

Ignite Conference 2022
The theme for Fanshawe College's Ignite Conference for 2022 was "A United Future – a nod to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)." It involved a series of workshops with guest speakers and employer panels who discussed the United Nations' 17 sustainability development goals and their perspectives and expertise on global citizenship.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Facilities Operations and Sustainability, the Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for advocating for and leading the sustainability practices at the College. This function will facilitate the interaction and collaboration among various groups on campus; identify, promote and monitor sustainability initiatives; prepare and disseminate information in print and electronic media on and off campus; and conduct and coordinate sustainability assessments.
