Part 1. Student commute modal split
Total percentage of students that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:
A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
A survey was sent out asking campus users about their commuting habits. A prize draw was offered as an incentive to participate. 1956 students responded, which was more than what was needed for statistically relevant results. The survey was open from 6-Mar-2023 to 23-May-2023. Questions asked included: What is your primary mode of transportation for commuting? What is your approximate commuting distance (one-way trip)? On average, how many days a week (1-7) do you commute?
The survey was posted on social media, on posters in hallways, shared via email, and posted on internal portals. At all events, a QR code was available for people to scan to take them to the survey.
Part 2. Employee commute modal split
Total percentage of employees that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:

A prize draw was offered as incentive to participate. 644 faculty and 579 staff responded, which was more than what was needed for statistically relevant results. The survey was open from 6-Mar-2023 to 23-May-2023. Questions asked included: What is your primary mode of transportation for commuting? What is your approximate commuting distance (one-way trip)? On average, how many days a week (1-7) do you commute?
