A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:
In early 2024, the Strategic Enterprise Solutions team developed an employee survey to gauge employees' understanding of the SDGs.
The survey questions were determined based on the following overarching research questions: how aware are employees about the SDGs? The results provide a baseline measure for measuring a strategic commitment. In its strategic plan, the College commits to "improve environment and social sustainability at Fanshawe through cross-College efforts aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing a 2023-2030 action plan." One of the ways in which the College will measure its' progress toward this commitment is to increase awareness of the SDGs across the College by 25%. A baseline was to be established in Winter 2024 and then another measure will be taken in Winter 2025.
On March 8, 2024, at the end of SDGs Week, the survey was sent out to employees via email and internal portal post.
