Canadian Centre for Product Validation (CCPV) – created for the purpose of continuing research efforts and creating incubator facilities relating to advanced manufacturing. The facility is a comprehensive, test facility that presents a unique opportunity for Fanshawe College. The CCPV will perform developmental, performance, and compliance testing for new or improved products in the primary areas of thermal, mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing. Tests to established standards will be performed along with the development of special proprietary test protocols specific to the industry partner. Multimodal testing (simultaneous testing in multiple areas) will be performed to reflect the actual or potential conditions of the product’s application. Accelerated product life testing will enhance speed to market and increase product confidence. The CCPV will act as a credible, third party validation Centre that will engage industry partners, Fanshawe staff, and students who will play an integral role in the Centre’s activities.

The Energy Conservation & Demand Management Plan outlines an annual implementation of EMOs, consisting of capital initiatives, retrocommissioning and Energy Management Information System (EMIS) implementation over the Term of the Plan, commencing in 2014 with the target year being 2019 for verification of performance. These EMOs are projected to reduce overall electrical and natural gas usage by 11% and 9% respectively over the Baseline (2013 normalized). Energy usage avoidances will result in 652 tonnes of CO2e (10%) being diverted from the environment per year. The cumulated amount of GHG diverted from the environment over the Term of the Plan would be 2,100 tCO2e
