4.3. Idling
In consideration of the outdoor air quality of the College, owners and operators of non-emergency
vehicles on campus are encouraged to limit vehicle idling to one minute or less.

1. PURPOSE
Recognizing the unique social needs of a college community balanced with the health hazards that are
or may be associated with the use of alcohol, drugs, electronic cigarettes, tobacco products and
cannabis, the purpose of this policy is to promote a healthy learning, working, teaching, living and
playing environment and to take steps towards reducing any of their related adverse health and air
quality risks and personal discomfort on College property.
