All sustainability events and news items are posted on the internal campus portal. The external website has information about our commitment to sustainability, events, ways people can get involved and make changes in their lies, as well as a detailed page on waste diversion on campus.

Fanshawe Sustainability has a facebook page, where news, information and events are shared with staff, students and the public.

Student Newspaper Coverage

A brief description of the regular coverage of sustainability in the main student newspaper:
Although the newspaper does not have a sustainability column or a reporter assigned to sustainability, there is regular coverage of sustainability. Currently, it is unrealistic to ask the student newspaper to change their operation methods. However, the result of sustainability being regularly and frequently covered is reached. The sustainability coordinator requests articles written, or submits article to the student Newspaper, multiple times a semester. Also, articles are written on relevant topics, sometimes ones that are related to sustainability. These are not directed by the Sustainability Office.

A brief description of the vehicle to publish and disseminate student research on sustainability:
Student research and innovation day is the annual showcase of Fanshawe College student research projects. Students who have completed individual, group, class or capstone projects are invited to submit projects for consideration. The selection committee reviews all entries and chooses semi-finalists. Semi-finalists are invited to display their projects at the event. Judges assess each project based on specific criteria

A brief description of the guide for green living and incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
Part of the Sustainability Website is dedicated to living more sustainably, so everyone has a resource they can refer to if they are wanting to make changes. There is also information for the annual Residence Energy Conservation Challenege, avalable all year, showing students how they can reduce their energy usage. All refrigerators in residence have a magnet on them showing how to properly sort and divert waste from landfill.
