There is an annual district wide Adjunct Faculty Conference and Professional Growth funds that adjunct faculty that provides reimbursement for adjunct faculty participation in conferences, workshops, and other trainings. As part of the Maricopa Community Colleges, EMCC can participate in a number of additional opportunities. The Maricopa Faculty Internship (MFI) is a 9-month internship program designed to provide teaching experience, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities for people interested in pursuing residential faculty positions in the Maricopa Community Colleges. The Maricopa Community Colleges will actively recruit candidates in disciplines where there is underutilization identified in the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) Affirmative Action Plan.
