Estrella Mountain Community College meets the Wildlife Habitat requirements of the National Wildlife Federation's 'Wildlife Habitat Certification' (http://www.nwf.org/gardenforwildlife/certify.cfm?campaignid=WH10A150).

EMCC provides the following resources to support wildlife habitat on campus:
Food Sources - Twigs, Nectar, and Pollen

Water Sources - Water Gardens and Ponds

Places for Cover - Ground Cover, Water Gardens and Ponds

Places to Raise Young - Mature Trees, Water Gardens and Ponds

Sustainable Gardening - Xeriscape, limited water use, Integrated-Pest Management, use of native plants, reduced lawn areas

EMCC is in the process of submitting an application for the 'Wildlife Habitat Certification'.
