The Committee on Campus Sustainability helps to advance, prioritize, and evaluate Endicott’s sustainability initiatives.
The Committee's mission is to review and guide implementation of campus-wide sustainability programs and formalize and enact the College's first sustainability plan. The Committee on Campus Sustainability shall evaluate sustainability opportunities related to operations, academics, and student engagement to set priorities for action. The committee will make recommendations to the President around related investment (e.g. energy efficiency), policy, promotion of campus initiatives, and community engagement. The committee will also assess initiatives and make recommendations for advancement as necessary.

A brief description of each sustainability office:
The Office of Sustainability consists of two fulltime sustainability staff (Associate/Director and Coordinator), and is situated under the College's Physical Plant. The Office works directly with students, faculty and staff across the campus to develop and implement sustainability programs with a focus on climate and health. The Office also employs 5-7 student Fellows to assist with program implementation, communication and outreach, data analysis, research, and specialty waste management.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:
Continuously reviewing sustainability programs and occupant engagement initiatives to help create a sustainable campus community. A focus on climate and health i.e. energy and greenhouse gas reductions, climate resiliency, and healthier materials and utilizing the campus as a living lab. Currently developing baselines to establish goals and develop the College's first official strategic sustainability plan. Successfully resumed sustainable College practices that had been paused or fallen by the wayside due to COVID-19, and a 6 month vacancy in the Office of Sustainability during 2021. Implemented two new specialty recycling streams, ramped up programming and communications efforts to include more focused/regular social media and newsletter outreach, and 4 main programming periods consisting of 20-30 events each year focused on increasing education, awareness, and involvement in campus sustainability efforts. Numerous energy efficiency projects resulting in close to 1 million kWh annual electricity savings, 32,000 therms gas savings. Strengthening of engagement and collaborative action with local community.
