Part 1. Student commute modal split
Yes
Total percentage of students that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:
96
A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
This percentage is based of students responses to a campus culture survey from Spring 2022. Students were asked how they get around campus and the surround community, and the percentage represents the respondents who indicated that they walked, biked, skateboarded, carpooled, or used the campus shuttle, public transport, or hybrids/EVs to get around.
First year students are not allowed to bring a vehicle. The campus has many bike racks outside of residence halls, and is largely a walking campus. The campus shuttle transports students to parts of Beverly, including main stops along the commuter rail. Of the students that do have vehicles registered on campus, 6.34% drive a hybrid or electric vehicle.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
Data is based off of public safety issued parking permits. Shuttle use is also tracked and data spans our last fiscal year (7/1/2022-6/30/2023). The College used to offer MBTA (subway/commuter rail/bus) passes issued through HR and was paused due to COVID, but we are looking to resume that program Fall 2023.
